WASHINGTON, Aug. 2 -- Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., has introduced legislation (S. 2406) to amend the Public Health Service Act "to establish the National Health Service Corps Rural Provider Loan Repayment Program."
The bill was introduced on July 31 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Richard J. Durbin, D-Ill., Kevin Cramer, R-N.D., Doug Jones, D-Ala., and Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska. It was referred to the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee.
