WASHINGTON, Aug. 2 -- Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, has introduced legislation (S. 2391) to amend the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 "to impose requirements relating to the purchase of certain equity securities by issuers."
The bill was introduced on July 30. It was referred to the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee.
