WASHINGTON, Aug. 2 -- Sen. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis., has introduced legislation (S. 2357) to "establish a national goal and mechanism to achieve a trade-balancing exchange rate for the U.S. dollar, to impose market access charge on certain purchases of United States assets."
The bill was introduced on July 31 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo. It was referred to the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee.
