WASHINGTON, July 23 - The U.S. Department of the Interior's U.S. Geological Survey announced that it intends to award a $175,000 cooperative agreement to the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich of Switzerland for the improvement of the performance of the finite fault rupture detector algorithm in the U.S. West Coast ShakeAlert system.
