WASHINGTON, July 23 - The U.S. Department of State announced that it expects to award a discretionary grant for journalists training in Nepal.
The estimated total program funding available was cited as $25,000.
The funding is open to non-governmental organizations.
The agency description of the grant states: "The U.S. Embassy in Kathmandu regularly works with non-governmental organizations to provide journalism and media training opportunities to Nepali jou . . .
