WASHINGTON, July 20 -- Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., has introduced legislation (S. 2183) to "require the Comptroller General of the United States to analyze certain legislation in order to prevent duplication of and overlap with existing Federal programs, offices, and initiatives."
The bill was introduced on July 18 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Margaret Wood Hassan, D-N.H., and James Lankford, R-Okla. It was referred to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
