WASHINGTON, July 20 -- Sen. James Lankford, R-Okla., has introduced legislation (S. 2169) to amend section 3116 of title 5, U.S. Code, "to clarify the applicability of the appointment limitations for students appointed under the expedited hiring authority for post-secondary students."
The bill was introduced on July 18 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Gary Peters, D-Mich., and Kyrsten Sinema, D-Ariz. It was referred to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
