WASHINGTON, July 20 -- Sen. Martin Heinrich, D-N.M., has introduced legislation (S. 2165) to enhance protections of Native American tangible cultural heritage.
The bill was introduced on July 18 and has seven co-sponsors. Co-sponsors include Sens. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis., Steve Daines, R-Mont., Brian Schatz, D-Hawaii, Martha McSally, R-Ariz., Tom Udall, D-N.M., and James Lankford, R-Okla.
The legislation was referred to the Senate Indian Affairs . . .
