WASHINGTON, July 20 -- Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, has introduced legislation (S. 2161) to amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act "to provide for reciprocal marketing approval of certain drugs, biological products, and devices that are authorized to be lawfully marketed abroad."
The bill was introduced on July 18 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., and Mike Lee, R-Utah. It was referred to the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee.
