WASHINGTON, July 19 -- Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., has introduced legislation (S. 2155) to "require the Securities and Exchange Commission to issue rules requiring private funds to publicly disclose certain information."
The bill was introduced on July 17 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis., Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, and Bernie Sanders, I-Vt. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
