WASHINGTON, July 19 -- Sen. Richard J. Durbin, D-Ill., has introduced legislation (S. 2139) to "prohibit the award of Federal Government contracts to inverted domestic corporations."
The bill was introduced on July 17 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Jack Reed, D-R.I., Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., Tammy Duckworth, D-Ill., and Bernie Sanders, I-Vt. It was referred to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
