WASHINGTON, April 20 -- The U.S. Department of the Interior's Office of Surface Mining announced that it expects to award up to 20 cooperative agreements for the restoration of streams affected by acid mine drainage to a level that will provide recreational opportunities for the community.
The estimated total program funding available was cited as $3.5 million with a ceiling of $100,000 for each award in the program.
The funding is open to nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) . . .
