WASHINGTON, April 20 -- The U.S. Department of the Interior's National Park Service announced that it intends to award a $60,000 cooperative agreement to the University of New Mexico for the analysis of bat microbiota at the Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument in Arizona.
The agency description of the grant states: "White-nose syndrome (WNS), caused by the fungus Pseudogymnoascus destructans, threatens bat populations throughout the U.S. Western bat populations provide an excel . . .
