WASHINGTON, April 13 -- Sen. Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., has introduced legislation (S. 1206) to amend title 49, U.S. Code, "to prohibit aircraft from having in place cameras and microphones that can monitor passengers."
The bill was introduced on April 11 and was co-sponsored by Sen. John Kennedy, R-La. It was referred to the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee.
