WASHINGTON, April 13 -- Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., has introduced legislation (S. 1192) to set minimum standards for tax return preparers.
The bill was introduced on April 11 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Benjamin Cardin, D-Md., Michael Bennet, D-Colo., Thomas R. Carper, D-Del., Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, and Catherine Cortez Masto, D-Nev. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
