WASHINGTON, April 13 -- Sen. Margaret Wood-Hassan, D-N.H., has introduced legislation (S. 1181) to amend the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act "to provide for better protections for children raised in kinship families outside of the foster care system."
The bill was introduced on April 11 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Susan M. Collins, R-Maine. It was referred to the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee.
