WASHINGTON, April 13 -- Sen. Edward J. Markey, D-Mass., has introduced legislation (S. 1178) to "require aircraft manufacturers to offer or provide non-required safety enhancing equipment of an aircraft without additional charge to an air carrier."
The bill was introduced on April 11 and has eight co-sponsors. Co-sponsors include Sens. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., Robert Menendez, D-N.J., Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., Chris Van Hollen, D-Md., Ron Wyden, D-Ore., . . .
