WASHINGTON, April 13 -- Sen. Brian Schatz, D-Hawaii, has introduced legislation (S. 1174) to "provide that 12 weeks of leave made available to a Federal employee shall be paid leave."
The bill was introduced on April 11 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, Chris Van Hollen, D-Md., and Jeff Merkley, D-Ore. It was referred to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
