WASHINGTON, March 20 -- The U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Highway Administration announced that it expects to award up to 85 discretionary grants for Tribal transportation safety plans, data assessment, improvement, analysis and infrastructure improvement.
The award ceiling for this funding opportunity is $8.9 million. The agency said the grant was associated with transportation.
The funding is open to Native American tribal governments.
