WASHINGTON, March 15 -- Sen. Roy Blunt, R-Mo., has introduced legislation (S. 847) to "prohibit certain entities from using facial recognition technology to identify or track an end user without obtaining the affirmative consent of the end user."
The bill was introduced on March 14 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Brian Schatz, D-Hawaii. It was referred to the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee.
