WASHINGTON, March 15 -- Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., has introduced legislation (S. 809) to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 "to allow a credit against income tax for qualified conservation contributions which include National Scenic Trails."
The bill was introduced on March 14 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., and Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
