WASHINGTON, Feb. 15 -- Sen. Christopher S. Murphy, D-Conn., has introduced legislation (S. 509) to "require the Secretary of the Treasury to mint coins in commemoration of the United States Coast Guard."
The bill was introduced on Feb. 14 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn. It was referred to the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee.
