WASHINGTON, Feb. 15 -- Sen. Dan Sullivan, R-Alaska, has introduced legislation (S. 496) to "preserve U.S. fishing heritage through a national program dedicated to training and assisting the next generation of commercial fishermen."
The bill was introduced on Feb. 14 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, Maria Cantwell, D-Wash., and Susan M. Collins, R-Maine. It was referred to the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee.
