WASHINGTON, Feb. 15 -- Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-La., has introduced legislation (S. 486) to "waive the penalty for withdrawals from retirement plans for certain Federal employees and contractors affected by a lapse in appropriations."
The bill was introduced on Feb. 14 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Mark R. Warner, D-Va. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
