WASHINGTON, Feb. 15 -- Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., has introduced legislation (S. 478) to "enhance Social Security benefits and ensure the long-term solvency of the Social Security program."
The bill was introduced on Feb. 13 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., Cory Booker, D-N.J., and Kamala D. Harris, D-Calif. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
