WASHINGTON, Feb. 15 -- Sen. Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., has introduced legislation (S. 470) to amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act "to provide for an option for any citizen or permanent resident of the United States age 50 to 64 to buy into Medicare."
The bill was introduced on Feb. 13 and has 19 co-sponsors. Co-sponsors include Sens. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis., Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., Cory Booker, D-N.J., Benjamin Cardin, D-Md., Tammy Duckworth, D-Ill. . . .
