WASHINGTON, Dec. 15 -- Sen. Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., has introduced a resolution (S.Res. 729) "amending rule XV of the Standing Rules of the Senate to provide for consideration of a minimum number of amendments."
The resolution was introduced on Dec. 13. It was referred to the Senate Rules and Administration Committee.
