WASHINGTON, Dec. 15 -- Sen. Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., has introduced a resolution (S.Res. 726) "amending rule XXVIII of the Standing Rules of the Senate to provide for timely establishment of conference committees."
The resolution was introduced on Dec. 13. It was referred to the Senate Rules and Administration Committee.
