WASHINGTON, Dec. 13 -- Sen. Orrin G. Hatch, R-Utah has introduced legislation (S. 3738) to amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and Securities Exchange Act of 1934 "to prevent the inter partes review process for challenging patents from diminishing competition in the pharmaceutical industry and with respect to drug innovation."
The bill was introduced on Dec. 11 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N.C. It was referred to the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pen . . .
