WASHINGTON, Sept. 20 -- Sen. Edward J. Markey, D-Mass., has introduced legislation (S. 3468) to amend the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act "to designate segments of the Nashua, Squannacook, and Nissitissit Rivers as components of the Wild and Scenic Rivers System."
The bill was introduced on Sept. 18 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., Margaret Wood Hassan, D-N.H., and Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H. It was referred to the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee.
