WASHINGTON, Sept. 21 -- Sen. Brian Schatz, D-Hawaii, has introduced legislation (S. 3461) to amend the PROTECT Act "to expand the national AMBER Alert system to territories of the United States."
The bill was introduced on Sept. 18 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska. It was referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
