WASHINGTON, Sept. 19 -- Sen. Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., has introduced legislation (S. 3449) to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to extend certain tax credits related to electric cars.
The bill was introduced on Sept. 17 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Martin Heinrich, D-N.M., Catherine Cortez Masto, D-Nev., Kamala D. Harris, D-Calif., Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., and Cory Booker, D-N.J. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
