WASHINGTON, Aug. 18 -- The U.S. Department of the Interior's Bureau of Reclamation announced that it intends to award a $369,247 cooperative agreement to The Freshwater Trust of Portland, Oregon, for riparian stewardship to mitigate impacts to threatened Coho Salmon.
The agency description of the grant states: "In 2012, the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) released a Biological Opinion (BiOp) for the Rogue River Basin that identifies restoration of 18 acres of riparian area . . .
