WASHINGTON, July 21 -- Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., has introduced legislation (S. 3248) to "restrict the provision by international financial institutions of loans and financial and technical assistance to the Government of Turkey."
The bill was introduced on July 19 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Robert Menendez, D-N.J., James Lankford, R-Okla., Thom Tillis, R-N.C., Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., and Bill Nelson, D-Fla. It was referred to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
