WASHINGTON, July 20 -- Sen. Brian Schatz, D-Hawaii, has introduced legislation (S. 3238) to "improve oversight by the Federal Communications Commission of the wireless and broadcast emergency alert systems."
The bill was introduced on July 18 and was co-sponsored by Sen. John Thune, R-S.D. It was referred to the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee.
