WASHINGTON, July 14 -- Sen. Richard Burr, R-N.C., has introduced legislation (S. 3199) to "establish an expedited process for removal of senior executives of the Internal Revenue Service based on performance or misconduct."
The bill was introduced on July 12 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, Dean Heller, R-Nev., Johnny Isakson, R-Ga., Tim Scott, R-S.C., and Michael B. Enzi, R-Wyo.It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
