WASHINGTON, June 20 -- Sen. Rob Portman, R-Ohio, has introduced legislation (S. 3079) to amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act "to provide for the application of Medicare secondary payer rules to certain workers' compensation settlement agreements and qualified Medicare set-aside provisions."
The bill was introduced on June 18 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
