WASHINGTON, May 19 -- Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., has introduced legislation (S. 2879) to amend the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 "to promote behavioral health crisis response training among law enforcement officers."
The bill was introduced on May 17. It was referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
