WASHINGTON, May 19 -- Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-La., has introduced legislation (S. 2875) to amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act "to provide for Medicare coverage of certain services furnished by opioid treatment programs."
The bill was introduced on May 17 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla., and Benjamin Cardin, D-Md. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
