WASHINGTON, May 18 -- Sen. Tammy Duckworth, D-Ill., has introduced legislation (S. 2869) to amend the Safe Drinking Water Amendments of 1977 "to require the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency to report certain hiring to carry out the Safe Drinking Water Act."
The bill was introduced on May 16 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Thomas R. Carper, D-Del. It was referred to the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee.
