WASHINGTON, May 18 -- Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, has introduced legislation (S. 2866) to "require the Secretary of the Army to expedite the completion of certain feasibility studies and reports and to amend the Coastal Barrier Resources Act to ensure public safety."
The bill was introduced on May 16 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas. It was referred to the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee.
