WASHINGTON, May 18 -- Sen. Steve Daines, R-Mont., has introduced legislation (S. 2860) to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 "to allow first responders to continue to exclude service- connected disability pension payments after reaching the age of retirement."
The bill was introduced on May 16 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Christopher Coons, D-Del., Robert Casey Jr., D-Pa., and Jon Tester, D-Mont. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
