WASHINGTON, May 17 -- Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla., has introduced legislation (S. 2843) to amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act "to provide for the distribution of additional residency positions to help combat the opioid crisis."
The bill was introduced on May 15 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Dean Heller, R-Nev. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
