Sen. Johnson Introduces Bill on Preventing Threats From Unmanned Aircraft


WASHINGTON, May 16 -- Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., has introduced legislation (S. 2836) to "assist the Department of Homeland Security in preventing emerging threats from unmanned aircraft and vehicles."

The bill was introduced on May 14 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., John Hoeven, R-N.D., Heidi Heitkamp, D-N.D., and Tom Cotton, R-Ark. It was referred to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
