WASHINGTON, April 21 -- Sen. Richard J. Durbin, D-Ill., has introduced legislation (S. 2724) to "reform the use of solitary confinement and other forms of restrictive housing in the Bureau of Prisons."
The bill was introduced on April 19 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Christopher Coons, D-Del., Cory Booker, D-N.J., Patrick J. Leahy, D-Vt., and Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass. It was referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
