WASHINGTON, March 17 -- Sen. Thad Cochran, R-Miss., has introduced legislation (S. 2558) to "direct the Secretary of Agriculture to transfer to Scenic Rivers Development Alliance certain National Forest System land in the State of Mississippi."
The bill was introduced on March 15 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Miss. It was referred to the Senate Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Committee.
