WASHINGTON, Feb. 17 -- Sen. Patrick J. Leahy, D-Vt., has introduced a resolution (S.Res. 408) "commemorating the 59th anniversary of Tibet's 1959 uprising as Tibetan Rights Day, and expressing support for the human rights and religious freedom of the Tibetan people and the Tibetan Buddhist faith community."
The resolution was introduced on Feb. 15 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., and Ted Cruz, R-Texas. It was referred to the Senate Foreign Relations Committe . . .
