WASHINGTON, Feb. 17 -- Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, has introduced legislation (S. 2450) to "require the Bureau of the Census to conduct a survey to determine income and poverty levels in the United States in a manner that accounts for the receipt of Federal means-tested benefits."
The bill was introduced on Feb. 15 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and Marco Rubio, R-Fla. It was referred to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
