WASHINGTON, Feb. 15 -- Sen. Deb Fischer, R-Neb., has introduced legislation (S. 2421) to amend the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act of 1980 "to provide an exemption from certain notice requirements and penalties for releases of hazardous substances from animal waste at farms."
The bill was introduced on Feb. 13 and has 22 co-sponsors. Co-sponsors include Sens. Joe Donnelly, D-Ind., John Barrasso, R-Wyo., Mike Rounds, R-S.D., Pat Roberts, R-Kan., . . .
