WASHINGTON, Feb. 11 -- The American Road and Transportation Builders Association has issued a report on the Federal Highway Administration's bridge rehabilitation program for Alaska.

* Of the 1,569 bridges in the state, 165, or 10.5 percent, are classified as structurally deficient. This means one of the key elements is in poor or worse condition.(1)

* 13 structurally deficient bridges in the state are on the Interstate Highway System.
